Shannon has been practicing for more than 26 years, and is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Social Work. She specializes in addiction family therapy. Renew Addiction Family Therapy responds by supporting the individual who is dealing with recovering from addiction, providing therapy for the loved ones who are either currently dealing with a family member’s active addiction or have been impacted by being in relationship with someone in active addiction in the past or by providing couples counseling to the partners whose relationship has been impacted by addiction.
About Shannon’s Practice
Are you exhausted by the ways you've been affected by yours or someone else's issues or addictions? Make the choice to get the support you need to turn things around regardless of how tough things may be around you. It takes courage to make changes but most of us need support to be successful at it. For over twenty years working in mental health treatment I've helped individuals, groups and couples follow through on their inclination that the time for them to begin making changes is now.
For all of us, life goes through seasons that are more challenging at some times than at others. You don't have to face these challenges alone. It can make a real difference in these stressful periods to have a safe, objective, supportive person in our lives who is adept at helping sort things out.
In my practice I'm able to apply years of experience supporting others to deal with significant challenges that effects of addiction, over-functioning, burn out and personal turmoil can bring. I've helped many individuals or couples successfully turn their lives and level of happiness around. You can turn your life around as well.
